Stage 7 brings the peleton into the Pyrenees with a finish at 2,200 metres above sea level. That's one of the highest finishes in Tour history and one that will surely test those life expectancy figures. Some people are passionate about human rights, others passionate about combating poverty, and some people will defiantly fight to the end for their right to have a dirty word on a number plate. William Junge of Las Vegas falls into the latter category, but at least he got his way after a court ruled that he could have the word HOE on his license plate. The Department of Motor Vehicles had tried to cancel the plate on the grounds that the 62 year old was using it as "a derogatory reference toward women" but Junge it insists it’s a reference to his car, a Chevy Tahoe. "That was their interpretation. Shame on them," he said, possibly adding "now I'm off to bang me some skanks." The Englishman underperformed at his home Grand Prix at Silverstone and an improved performance is needed at the German GP to keep the distance between him and his closest rival Sebastian Vettel. After she was accused of being overly flirty, Irish contestant Noirin turned to Sophie Reade (nicknamed Dogface, huh?) for back up. Feminine solidarity wasn't forthcoming though. "Yeah, I think you're a big hussy," the blonde clawed, before Noirin responded. "I don't see how I'm flirty. When I fancy someone, you know it. Everyone will know.
