At Paddy Power, we're all about giving you the best sports betting experience. We cover the biggest sporting events on the planet, so no matter what you fancy having a flutter on, we give you the opportunity. If you're new to the sports betting game, stick around to learn everything you need to know to get started.
There's a massive choice of different bet types available at Paddy Power. The most popular form of bet is betting on a single outcome. Whether you want to bet on the winner of a tennis match, football game, or boxing match, it's the simplest and most common way to bet. We offer lots of ways to place these bets.
The next most common option is an accumulator, or acca. This is a collection of bets, that will stack the odds to create bigger payouts. You can work out what your return from an acca is using our accumulator calculator.
You can also place each way bets, which is a special kind of acca mainly used with horse racing. This means you place a bet on a horse to win, but will also place another bet for it to place within a certain range of positions.
Finally, special accumulators like a Heinz cover every possible combination of wins. A Heinz uses 6 different choices, and creates 15 doubles, 20 trebles, 15 four folds, 6 five folds, and a six fold. You can find out more about these types of bets using our bet glossary.
A single outcome is the main betting market you can bet on, commonly known as the moneyline. Picking the winner of a golf tournament, tennis match, or horse race are all single outcome bets.
However, there are other ways to bet, such as first goalscorer, first set, or first knockdown. You can also place handicap bets, which gives one side of the best a handicap, allowing you to bet on the favourite with more favourable odds.
The main sport for betting is undoubtedly football. While the Premier League is the most popular league to bet on, we cover leagues all across the world, with all major European leagues covered, South America, and even Australia. If there's a game of football happening or even an international tournament such as the World Cup, we have it covered.
You can also find a massive choice of horse racing events. We're not like your local that only comes alive for the Grand National, we cover horse racing all year round. Any events that you want to bet on, we have it covered.
You won't miss out on any golf tournaments, either. At Paddy Power, you can track every swing, and bet on any aspect of the game you want. You can also get bet tips for any event on our Paddy Power blog.
If you fancy some free to play games, we also feature a Beat the Drop game, giving you the chance to predict outcomes in the latest sporting events and win extra cash.
You can get a new customer sign up bonus at Paddy Power. If you use the code YSKATF, you can get £40 in free bets when you bet £5. It's only for new players, and T&Cs apply.
We don't just offer bonuses to new players, though. You can grab other bonuses at our promotions page, which is regularly updated with promotions for the latest events.
At Paddy Power, we're dedicated to keeping our players safe. If you're looking for ways to keep yourself safe when betting, you can get a full safer gambling breakdown in our help centre.
On top of the help centre, there's also a range of straightforward tools and tips we offer to keep you safe. You can check the following links to make sure you bet responsibly.
The World Cup kicks off on 11th June with 48 teams competing across the USA, Mexico, and Canada. Map out the entire tournament - from group stages to the final - with Paddy Power's free World Cup Predictor.
Drop in your predictions for every match, fill out your bracket, and see if you can plot England's path to glory (or an early exit, if that's more your style).
