Sunday's Racing
For much of Cheltenham week, the punters have had it quite bleak, but winning's a habit, so watch Newton Abbot and the week might end with a peak. That charming and somewhat lame ditty was our way of telling you its World Poetry Day this Sunday and that's almost certainly less likely to get us fired than trying to knock some craic out of World Down Syndrome Day or Mothers' Day throughout the Arab world. Take that day of rest your ode and be sure to check out the rest of today’s racing from Cork, Carlise, Fontwell and the start of the Irish flat season at the Curragh. Don't forget, we also pay out on disqualified winners and official result on all UK & Ireland races.

Sam-thing We Don't Know?
"Sam out to upset" reads the headline on the Blackburn Rovers website. Judging by the various fights he's picked with referees, other managers and the general air of dread both opposition fans and players feel when going up against a Sam Allardyce coached team, we thought that was something he'd been doing exceptionally well for at least the last decade, but on this occasion he has his sights set on denying Chelsea all 3 points from their trip to Ewood Park. "As good and as big a team as they are, we want to upset them and we want to make sure that they don't go home with three points," he explained, not adding "or a full set of teeth." Rovers haven't managed a league goal against the Blues in seven games, so it would be Sam achievement if they took the win. Sun. 4pm SS1

Defending My Hen-our
What is it about Thierry Henry's temperamental and self-centred (and while we're at it, let's not forget cheating) history that would lead to newspapers publishing stories suggesting he's unhappy at Barcelona? That's the question on the Frenchman's mind after a week in which rumours emerged about a disagreement with an unnamed colleague at the Camp Nou [N.B. the colleague has a name – it just wasn't given]. Henry refuted the claims by declaring "I have no problem with anyone here, not the coach, not with anyone. I want to stress this because sometimes I hear things that are quite painful" in that way where you know he's thinking he's all things to all men. With 7 goals scored this week, will Barca Theirr Real Zaragoza apart with ease? Sun. 8pm SS1 – La Liga Matches

Happily Ever Afters?
Why was Caroline Wozniacki's frank and open confession that she had gambled on her Indian Wells semi-final against Agnieszka Radwańska not jumped upon like every other allegation of impropriety in the sport? Well, firstly, they were betting on the match, but more specifically and crucially, betting on what time of day the match would be on at and second of all, the stakes didn't exactly bear the hallmarks of involvement from the Danish mafia. "She actually owes me an ice cream," explained the Dane who won the wager by correctly predicting a late start. If form doesn't desert her, Wozniacki has real hopes of beating Jelena Jankovic in the WTA Indian Wells final and claiming the biggest title of her career. Dirty Treks
In the aftermath of their thumping at the hands of Fulham, all sorts of accusations and recriminations have been thrown around by Juventus players. Jonathan Zebina turned on the clubs own fans after claiming "30 thugs and racists" verbally abused him at Craven Cottage. "Some of them came to England, travelling thousands of kilometres just to chant those things," he said although that's not entirely true - some of them came for a go on the London Eye and a trip to Madame Tussauds as well. Zebina wasn't exactly zen-like in his response after giving the offenders a one finger salute as he left the field following his sending off. After that horrid night in London, Juv got to think Sampdoria have a great chance of beating the Old Lady. Sun. 7.45pm paddypower.com & ESPN – Serie A Matches

I'm Zo Honoured
Michael Mancienne has been a bit misty-eyed of late. He's been recalling those days long ago when as a boy, he'd watch Gianfranco Zola at Stamford Bridge. He makes it sound all flat caps and clackers, but in fact it was more hoodies and knives because it was only 2003. During his time as a Chelsea trainee, Macienne became a huge fan of Zola and is really looking forward to hopefully crossing paths with him when West Ham travel to Molineux. "I never had a chance to speak to him personally because I was only about 8 or 9 at the time," he said, suggesting he was a late developer on the intellectual front - even for a footballer. If Macienne could help Wolves to victory it would seriously Ham-per his hero's chance of keeping the Irons up. Tue. 8pm SS2 – Premier League Matches
UK General Election Odds
Can't Have It Vote Ways
With a General Election looming large on the horizon, Alistair Darling probably wishes he could announce a budget where the Queen covers everyone's tax bill, there's a special 1000% VAT rate for any one who buys a Jedward record and people who make reality TV shows must buy everyone in the country a new car to offset the pain caused by their produce. It won't happen however and as Darling says "There is no question of giveaways. People want to see a sensible, workmanlike Budget." Really? Granted we don't know much about Chancellor of the Exchequering, but have these people seen our proposals yet? They'd go down a storm. Even with some hard Labour is there any chance this government will be in power after the UK General Election? Electionbetting.com
