There seems to be a recurring theme to these tipping articles which revolves around Liverpool desperately needing to win. This week’s Champions League game with Debrecen of Hungary is no different. Six games without a win for Rafa Benitez’s men has seen them fall five points off the top four and left their European hopes hanging by a thread.

They travel to Budapest to take on the Hungarian champions, who they managed to beat 1-0 in the opening round of the matches thanks to a Dirk Kuyt strike on the stroke of half-time. The Merseysider’s know that a win may not be enough to save their Champions League dream as a win for Fiorentina over Lyon would spell the end of the road for Benitez’s side. (more…)

Premier League Betting

Following a controversial round of World Cup play-off matches we return to Premier League action this weekend with Manchester City’s trip to Liverpool the stand out game.

World Cup 2010 - Qualifying Play-Offs

Ireland need to turn around a one goal deficit against France if they are to reach only their second major finals since 1994. A second-half Nicolas Anelka strike was enough to give the French victory in Dublin on Saturday and it means Giovanni Trapattoni’s men must score in the Stade de France.

Six of the last 10 Ireland matches have ended all square and they only managed to score more than once in one World Cup qualifier (a 2-1 win in the opening group game against Georgia). (more…)

Premier League Betting

The two current heavyweights in the Premier League go head-to-head this weekend as Man Utd travel to Stamford Bridge to face Chelsea. The Blues currently occupy top spot with Utd two points adrift in second place in what is looking to be one of the most open title-races for some time.

Fulham travel to Italy to face Roma in the Europa League following a 1-1 draw with the Italian giants in the last round of matches.

A last minute equaliser from Marco Andreolli earned the visitors a point after a battling performance from Roy Hodgson’s side saw them take a first-half lead through Brede Hangeland’s second ever goal for the club.
