Premier League Betting

Despite their excellent start to the season, Burnley now sit just inside the Premier League relegation zone. It gets no easier for new manager Brian Laws as, after a baptism of fire at Old Trafford, his side face Chelsea this weekend.

After a short blip before Christmas, Chelsea have been in superb form over recent weeks, even without leading scorer Didier Drogba who has been on African Cup of Nations duty. However, Burnley have lost just once at Turf Moor this season and so there will be a few tempted by the 10/1 about them beating the league leaders on Saturday. (more…)

Betting Review

Some small profits this week. Agonisingly close to top Ten finishes in Abu Dhabi were my tips Henrik Stenson and Paul Casey but my third tip Martin Kaymer held his nerve to triumph in this event. We also made a small profit on Stoke beating Arsenal in the FA Cup, although we could have done with Palace holding on at Wolves to make it a tasty 17/1 shot. (more…)

Now the winter break is over in Holland it’s time to take a look at the contenders for the Eredivisie crown.

FA Cup Betting

The FA Cup returns this weekend for a programme of fourth round fixtures that don’t feature either of the Cup’s most successful sides.

Leeds United’s reward for their 1-0 win at Manchester United is a trip to Tottenham. Simon Grayson’s side will have to be every bit as committed at White Hart Lane as they were at Old Trafford but I still fancy Spurs to win at 3/10. (more…)
