GAA Betting Tips
I’ll do my best to continue winnings ways following the impressive GAA betting tips last weekend. Unfortunately Antrim’s draw with Kildare scuppered the sneaky 15/1 treble but nonetheless five out of six selections came up trumps.
Round 1 of the All-Ireland Senior Football Championship isn’t complete after Kildare’s match against Antrim resulted in a draw after extra-time. Kildare (5/6) make the journey up the M1 to Dundalk and then the A1 to Belfast, as they once again face Antrim (5/4) on Saturday evening in Casement Park (7pm throw-in).
Sadly the end of last week’s affair was marred by a bunch of drunken Antrim idiots, sporting Celtic jerseys, who directed abuse at adults and children as they left at the end of the match. Somehow, in their home patch, I can’t see these young, immature clowns turning up this week.
Anyway back to the match. Antrim were superb in the second-half last Saturday night and showed immense work-rate to remain within touching distance of Kildare. With the wide, open spaces of the Casement park field, I expect Antrim to have too much fitness and resilience for an out-of-sorts Kildare team. Leitrim await the winner in Round 2.

Sligo (11/10) take on Galway (10/11) in the Connacht Senior Football Championship semi-final replay at Markievicz Park on Saturday evening (6pm thrown-in). Last week’s match was a case of who could muster up the most wides in a game, I think both sides broke the world record at least once. Sligo were deserved nine-point leaders going into half-time last weekend and when a Galway player received a red-card at the start off the second-half, Sligo looked a shoe-in to advance to the final. But it wasn’t to be. They only conjured up two points in the second-half and have it all to do as they face a Galway side who will want to atone for their errors last weekend.
Elsewhere, on Sunday, Kerry (1/6) take on Limerick (11/2) in the Munster Senior Football Championship Final in Killarney (2pm throw-in). Apologies to all you Limerick folk but I think you realise this will be a walk in the park for the Kingdom.
Best bets:
Galway -2 (7/4)
Antrim -2 (11/4)
