Weekend Horse Racing Preview

We had a couple of non runners last weekend and Fame and Glory won as an odds on favourite should.

On Friday afternoon over at Newbury it’s interesting to see Richard Hughes booked for the ride again on Flouncing who was 2nd over this trip at Epsom last time out and won at Thirsk the time before that.

This filly is consistent in form having either won or placed 8 out of 12 runs and looks sure to be involved again at the business end here.

She is entered to run at Goodwood on Thursday evening also, so if she lines up there instead take note.

Selection – Flouncing

Perfect Class Should Make the Grade in the Fillies' Handicap at Bath on Sunday.

Sticking with Newbury on Saturday and the CGA Geoffrey Freer Stakes Over 1 mile 5 furlongs looks to be a decent race.
Eastern Aria has improved rapidly since we tipped her up and is clearly in good order but another that looks useful is Laaheb.
This gelding has showed improved form over class 1 races, when winning 2 and finishing in the money twice again.
The listed win last time out at Newmarket was impressive and should give a good account.
He likes to track the leaders and then go for home let’s see what he does on Saturday?

Selection – Laaheb.

On Sunday at Bath there is an interesting runner entered in the Fillies’ Handicap over the mile.
I am interested in Perfect Class if she does go here as a course and distance winner last year, she has also been placed 4 times over this trip (2 of those at this course in better races).

Only beaten a head last time out and should again run a decent race here.

Selection – Perfect Class
