Two of this season’s Premier League title challengers meet on Sunday with both looking to bounce back from a defeat last time out. Chelsea face Arsenal at Stamford Bridge with the home side beaten 1-0 at Manchester City last time out whilst the Gunners lost 3-2 at home to lowly West Bromwich Albion.
We were not helped last weekend with a non runner and Definightly not getting into the Gold Cup event.
This weekend we have a fantastic Ascot race card to look forward to.
I will focus on the best 3 races of the day and hopefully we will pick up a nice winning bet.
Manchester City have made a solid if unspectacular start to their new season but they could come down to earth with a bump this weekend as Chelsea are the visitors to Eastlands on Saturday lunchtime. Carlo Ancelotti’s side look as if they could beat anyone at the moment and the 11/10 on an away win looks like terrific value.
We were out of luck last weekend with the ground conditions going against our main hopes on the day.
I am going to focus on Ayr this weekend as it is a fantastic racing card with the feature being the Ayr Gold Cup.
When looking at the entries and betting for this race I noticed Definightly was overpriced on the level of form shown. He has won five times with four of those races over six furlongs.
Another weekend and another result. Side Glance who won the Totescoop6 Handicap at Chester on Saturday, he opened up at odds of 6/1 and was well backed into 9/2 2nd favourite.
This weekend I am looking at another couple of bets for the main races on Saturday.
We had a couple of non runners last weekend and Fame and Glory won as an odds on favourite should.
On Friday afternoon over at Newbury it’s interesting to see Richard Hughes booked for the ride again on Flouncing who was 2nd over this trip at Epsom last time out and won at Thirsk the time before that.
