Can Spurs stay hot on the heels of their London rivals and compete for a Champions League spot once again?

Will he stay he will he go? The question that’s been on all Spurs’ fans lips since Andre Villas-Boas’ team lost out on a Champions League spot on the final day of last season. We refer, of course, to Gareth Bale who is being courted by Europe’s biggest clubs. The Welshman was terrific last season for club and country but his talents demands the biggest stage and the north London club may decide to cash in on their prize asset while the likes of Barcelona and Real Madrid are prepared to top dollar. Should Bale leave, a place in the top four may be beyond Tottenham as they would struggle to find an adequate replacement. Big-money signing Paulinho did impress for Brazil in the Confederations Cup but he’s a different type of player. William Gallas has already left White Hart Lane and his experience will be missed with another busy campaign upcoming. There is betting for Spurs to finish in the top four and be top of the pile among London clubs. They are also prominent in the betting for the Europa League in which they only lost out on penalties at the quarter-final stage last season.
