West Bromwich Albion Betting-
Having scraped through into an impressive finishing league position of 8th last season, the Baggies look to further cement their top-tier status by bagging plenty of goals again in 2013/14.
The Baggies started off last season like a house on fire and did enough in the second half of the season to finish in a highly creditable eighth place. But manager Steve Clarke has a problem in how he’s going to replace top scorer Romelu Lukaku, who has returned to parent club Chelsea and has been promised opportunities by Jose Mourinho. Ireland’s Shane Long will therefore carry most of the scoring burden for the Midlanders this season, though the much-travelled Nicolas Anelka will probably grab more headlines at The Hawthorns. Peter Odemwingie probably burned all of his bridges last season, however, and there has been no news of reconciliation during the summer. Despite finishing in the top half, Albion still lost more than they won last season which shows it’s a fine line between respectability and relegation in the top flight and this term may be one of consolidation. West Brom can be backed to finish in the top half and bottom half of the table in the new season and are also in the betting to improve two places on last year and finish in the top six.
