Here’s a common misconception: you can’t bet on a sporting event after it has started.

How do in-play golf odds work?

Our golf live odds are dynamic and fluctuate in real time. So, if a player near the top of the leaderboard makes a birdie, their price will shorten. If they make a bogey, their live odds will lengthen accordingly.

Imagine it’s the final round of The Masters. Rory McIlroy is four shots off the lead and has been priced accordingly at 12/1. But he birdies his opening two holes to close the gap to two strokes, and so his odds are trimmed to 3/1.

However, if he were to bogey those same two opening holes instead, the odds will lengthen; McIlroy may now be available at 20/1 or higher.

That gives you a flavour of how in-play golf betting can change based upon the performances of the players.

Live Golf Betting Markets

Golf tournaments typically take place over 72 holes that are spread across four days of action. So there's ample opportunity to access our golf live betting markets, of which many are available...

Tournament Winner: The most popular live betting market - with the tournament winner category, you're simply looking to back the player that goes on to lift the trophy.

Two and Three Balls: Here, you’re backing one of the players in a two or three-ball to shoot a lower score than their playing partner(s). Note that this bet type has different rules on tied scores to the 18-hole match-up market; check out our terms and conditions for more information.

First Round Leader: Even after the players have taken to the tee in the opening round, you can back those that you think will be at the top of the leaderboard after 18 holes.

Second/Third Round Leader: You may think that the current leader is great value, or you might predict that they will lose momentum during the second or third round – opening the door for other players to pounce. Here, you can bet on who you think will be leading in round two or three.
