Tips
Verdict: Tex gained his breakthrough success over 7f last month and might kick on again over this longer trip but the most interesting runner is arguably NORTHERN EMPIRE. Not much has gone to plan for Ed Walker's 3yo since his AW novice win in January but he was gelded in June and his subsequent Epsom run was a big step back in the right direction. Silca Bay, representing the trainer-jockey combination responsible for the last two winners of this race, is in good form and also makes the shortlist.[Chris Wilson]
