Tips

Verdict: This is competitive and it's hard to know which way to turn. The oldest runner, TOMMIE BEAU, was behind Caughtinyourtrance when fourth in a 2m6f hurdle here last month but was beaten only about 6l and can be seen to better effect if, as seems likely, this race develops into a slog. He gets the nod ahead of Breizh River, who was placed off today's mark in last month's valuable Summer Plate at Market Rasen and was a course winner before that. Caughtinyourtrance, Grand Clermont and Tamarind Bay are also afforded significant respect.[Chris Wilson]
