Verdict: The inaugural running of this marathon contest using stalls with VALIANCY making plenty of appeal. Successful on return at Hamilton, he very much caught the eye when sixth in the Copper Horse at Royal Ascot in June, keeping on well having been asked to come from a long way back (also widest of all). He earns the vote with potential for better still over this longer trip. Ascot Stakes second Defiantly and Highwind head a strong Irish challenge, whilst Believitanducan is another holding claims.
