Verdict: English Oak ran well behind an improver in this race last year but he's 5lb higher now, thanks to two wins at Meydan over the winter. Salam Dubawi, who ran so well on Saturday, may well take them along as he'll want to make his stamina pay and he can be the main danger to I'LL BE BACK. Spring form can be overrated with the runners at different stages of fitness but the selection looked good against rivals who have done well since and it looks worth taking a chance on his stamina now he sets out on his handicap career.[Emily Weber]
