Verdict: Particularly solid are AVEC TOI and Imperial Strike, who fought out the finish in the Prix la Rochette over C&D four weeks ago. The selection is the apple of Christopher Head's eye and remains unbeaten, while the second choice looks set to go well again. National Stakes winner Folsom Blues is top on the figures and duly commands respect assuming the widest draw doesn't prove an issue. Although the field isn't huge, stall 10 adds a bit of complication. Man's Best Friend promises to be well suited by moving beyond 6f and may prove best of the Ballydoyle runners.
