Verdict: With True Love having gone 0-5 since her 1,000 Guineas win, there is a suspicion that this is a below-par renewal of the Foret. There is very little between Thesecretadversary, True Love, Nighttime and Samangan based on their clash in the Group 1 Prix Jean Prat at Deauville in July and they account for a sizeable chunk at the head of the betting market, so it may pay to look elsewhere. The filly SHOWNA produced a very taking performance to win the Group 3 Prix Imprudence at Deauville in April before failing to see out 1m on heavy ground in the Poule d'Essai Des Pouliches, and she gets the vote on her second start back from a break. Marvelman is the only non-3yo in the line-up and is feared most on the strength of his third in the Group 1 City Of York Stakes in August.[Ben Hutton]
