Verdict: This is somewhat denuded by the absence of Twinkle Town, the impressive Saratoga Special winner who would have started favourite. His absence still leaves some highly promising types and one colt in Booked (second choice) who is already a Graded stakes winner. High on the list of promising types is High Official and Midnight Still, though the former is also entered in a turf contest. Lifesong comes from winning at a lesser track in Ellis Park, but it was no ordinary maiden he took out, but his owners' THE GOOD LIFE should start favourite, given the impression created on his debut.
