Verdict: Besieged is the one who could be well ahead of his mark but he makes his handicap debut in a big field on the back of a three-month absence, and it's not as though there's a shortage of alternatives. The once highly tried Tuscan Hills has turned a corner, while Castle Stuart and Dark Moon Rising (second choice) are always forces to be reckoned with around here. Another interesting candidate is NESTHORN for whom a truly run race over a shorter distance than he has been running over of late might see this three-time winner to best effect.[Alistair Jones]
